Mark Butterfield initially trained in the building industry. Mark is extremely practical and has always had a passion for making things. After his previous employer spotted by chance a chest of drawers the then teenage Mark had made himself with hand tools, Mark was offered a position as an apprentice cabinetmaker. Over the next 16 years Mark built his way up from the workshop floor to supervisory and then management positions and has established himself as a highly skilled and regarded furniture designer, maker and fitter.
In January 2005 Mark seized the opportunity to build a high quality furniture design, manufacture and fitting business in his own name. Mark is still very much ‘hand’s on’ with the design and fitting of the furniture, although the manufacturing has been outsourced to two workshops in Eastern Europe that are able produce top quality hand built furniture to Mark’s exacting requirements. |

So whatever your waste or recycling needs, your bins will be a discrete part of the furniture; easy to clean, easy to empty, and built to last. |

| We don’t just ‘screw & glue’ our joints, all fixed joints are morticed, dowelled, or biscuited.
All drawer boxes contain dovetailed joints as standard. |

| We don’t rely on just screws to hold the weight of your door. All our hinges are sunk into both the door and the frame,
so the weight of the door is evenly distributed onto the shoulder of the rebates, not pulling on the screws. |

| We don’t use inferior fixings, we only use chrome or brass butt hinges and all our drawers are fitted with full extension soft close runners. |

| We don’t use inferior materials such as chipboard or MDF, even for painted furniture, door panels or carcussing.
All our furniture is manufactured using solid wood, or birch plywood, which can be hand painted or veneered in your choice of real wood. |
