Hand Painted Utility

These utility areas both have charming rounded pillars and corners. The first utility room pictured has wrought iron door furniture and black granite tops. It forms part of a completely open plan design which incorporates both the kitchen and utility area with the dining, living, and entrance space. This meant our utility furniture had to look great, complement the light and airy décor and really work hard to form part of an adaptable living workspace.

The small horseshoe of utility units cleverly houses a fully integrated washing machine, double sink, vegetable baskets, a back-up cooker and second dishwasher as well as three double cupboards and four single cupboards. The dishwasher forms the main part of a peninsular unit with a shallow double cupboard behind, which helps the utility area flow into the kitchen.  The peninsular also provides a lovely deep work surface and a useful shallow cupboard to help keep items such as spices and matches easily to hand instead of getting lost in the back of deeper units.

The second utility area shown has been built to a very similar design but painted in a slightly deeper cream and finished with hand turned wooden knobs and soft grey Corian worktops.
